In July 2024, PPB Group Berhad, in collaboration with Eco-business, GSC and the CEO Action Network (CAN), hosted a special event to raise awareness of waste pollution and exploring potential solutions within the corporate sector at the Aurum Theatre, The Exchange TRX. The event featured a private screening of the 55-minute documentary “Wasted”, followed by a panel discussion focused on addressing the global waste crisis. Produced by Eco-business, “Wasted” highlighted landfill issues in India, South Korea, and Vietnam, shedding light on the severe environmental impact of waste accumulation and advocating for urgent action. Through this initiative, PPB aims to foster greater awareness among corporate leaders and encourage the adoption of sustainable practices across industries. The screening and discussion highlighted the importance of collective action in addressing the global waste crisis, inspiring participants to take proactive steps within their organisations to reduce waste and promote environmental stewardship.
