Encik Ahmad Riza bin Basir, 63, is an Independent Non-executive Director of PPB Group Berhad.

Encik Riza was appointed to the Board on 25 July 2013. He is the Chairman of the Nomination Committee.

He was a former partner of the law firm, Riza, Leong & Partners, and a former Managing Director of Kumpulan FIMA Berhad. He retired as an Independent Director of United Plantations Berhad on 26 April 2022. He presently serves on the board of several private companies in Malaysia.

Encik Riza holds a Bachelor of Law (Honours) degree from the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom and is a Barrister-at-Law (Lincoln's Inn), London.
