In 2007, PPB completed the merger of PPB's oil palm plantation and edible oils trading and refining businesses with Wilmar International Limited (Wilmar), a Singapore Exchange Main Board listed company. The investment in Wilmar allows PPB to be part of one of Asia's largest integrated agribusiness groups with worldwide operations.

The Wilmar group's business activities include oil palm cultivation, oilseeds crushing, edible oils refining, sugar, specialty fats, oleochemicals and biodiesel manufacturing and grains processing. The Wilmar group also manufactures and distributes fertilisers and owns a fleet of vessels.

PPB is presently the largest shareholder in Wilmar with 18.3% interest.
